Dr Vicki Dunstan - Veterinarian

Vicki has spent most of her life in SW Queensland. She returned to study in 1990,

graduated from Veterinary Science in Nov 1995, and arrived home to find the first patient on the doorstep the very next morning. (Owner holding the dog in one arm and an X-ray from Dr Chester Wilson in the other!).

Vicki is proud of the support people have given the practice since then to see it grow in size and also in services offered. She lists her special interests as hoof care, soft tissue trauma, client relations and the well being of working dogs.

Vicki's interests away from work are family, gardening, woodwork and horses. Vicki and Steven have 2 young boys, 4 horses, dog "Gus", and 2 burmese cats "Fuzz Buzz" and "Padme".

And of course “Topaz” the clinic cat.

Katherine made Charleville home in January 2010 when she moved

here with her faithfull jack russel 'Lucy'.

Kat has a keen interest in both small and large animal practice in

particularly in  equine dentistry and small animal dermatology.

Kat is a true country girl at heart and loves the rural community life.

Born and bred Charlavillian Tegan spends her days on

the front line and does her best to keep the surgery running smoothly.

Tegan is mad about animals, especially her Border Collie "Itchy",

cattle cross"Jet" and several cats and horses.

Lucy Cullen - Cert IV Veterinary Nurse

Lucy is the newest member of our team joining us all the

in after school and weekends to help us out.

They are both mad keen on horses, ripping it up on the

polo cross feild on the weekends.

Darcy is our thursday afternoon worker, proving to be great help to

everyone around the clinic. Darcy loves riding his motor bike with his mates!

Locum Veterinarians

A big thank you to Tim, Dallas and Dianna who have made the first half of 2010 alot easier for us all.

We would also  like to thank Tim, Nigel, Hugh, Tim and Garnett for including us on their locum rosters during 2009.

All of our locoms have been a  fantastic addition to the practice and we thank the clients for recieving them so well.  Here's hoping they come back at some stage.

And thankyou Nigel for taking such great care of "Fuzz Buzz" - the boss' beloved Burmese.  He has promised not to eat anymore firewood, rubber bands or long pieces of thread!

Steven Russell (Rusty) – maintenance man, kennel manager, groundsman's etc

Rusty fixes, moves, and replaces all manner of things around the surgery.

Rusty was previously an electrician before having to give up work to help set

up the fledgling vet practice. Rusty looks after your animals in both the boarding

kennels and the surgery stables.

At present he is trying to keep Vicki, the two boys, the horses and dogs  in line

on the home front.

He enjoys working with horses and all manner of horse sports.

Margie Vetter – part-time book-keeper

Margie's association with vet practice started when she worked

as a vet nurse in Taroom. There she married Paul and they returned

to the Charleville area.

Margie is an excellent book-keeper (and also receptionist or vet nurse on occasion).

Margie lists her interests as family, sport and all aspects of rural life.

Topaz

Topaz has the enormous task of filling Otto's shoes. Topaz came to us as a young cat needing a change of living arrangements (preferably to a place with no quails on the menu!) He very quickly endeared himself to everyone - and now he's part of the establishment.

A recent possum attack has left him slightly dimmer than he was before, but we love him no less.
